Although it may sound easy, naming our production was most probably the hardest task we faced when tackling our production. Many names were thrown out after we felt it did not tell enough, or told too much, of the story our film would hold.
Here are just some of our initial name ideas:
Deception
Taken
Memories
Acquisition
The Lost
The Missing
Missing
Trapped
Entrapment
Psycho
Forsaken
Unforgotten
The Hunted
Alone
Watching
That is just the list of names that we considered, many more names were read out which were immediately discarded for a variety of reasons.
In the end we opted for the title name 'Acquisition' since we felt it gave away a slight hint of what the film would hold, but not too much since there are a great many ways the title could be considered.
